I'll say the advantage of the Kindle 2 over other ebook reader is that it can access the internet everywhere for free, but this benefit vanishes if you are outside the United States. I'll suggest you to go for sony reader PRS-505 instead, quite plentifully of people like it more than the Kindle 2 because it has better PDF support. The price is cheaper too.
