I have the Kindle 2 and I close to it very much. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has saved me fairly a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really resembling the idea that I can bring and store all the books next to the handy device. And the Kindle 2 use the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I do not feel tired. My only complaint is the white skin, right now all Kindle are in white color... I reflect on it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)

I don't have one yet, but I've unbelievably tempted. I met a woman in Costa Rica that swore by it. She travels all the time and hauling books around get old. She can download new books instantly from anywhere in the world (that she have been so far) as long as she can get a cell signal. I was worried in the region of looking at a computer screen for hours on end and it doesn't look like a computer eyeshade. It looks like book pages and it even turns pages resembling a normal book (it's just not real). You can maintain a database on Amazon beside your full collection of books so you don't ever have to order the same book twice and it doesn't use up a bunch of room on your Kindle by storing them adjectives. She loved hers and I'm seriously considering it. My biggest concern involves my own personal self control and the instant gratification of it. It's almost effortless which means I could get myself within trouble, lol. $10.00 a piece starts to add up quickly!

I'm a Kindle 2 owner, and I love it very much. It fills my waiting time every day. Before I return with the Kindle 2, waiting time like the time when I'm waiting for my friend or waiting for shuttle bus is simply wasted, now it is simple that I solely need to bring the handy Kindle 2 along with me. Another function that I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which system I can use the Kindle 2 to "read" books when I'm doing some housework or on my step machine, just like how I listen to music on ipod... It really help me utilize my time and get better efficiency.
Also, as someone has mentioned, books within Kindle format provided by Amazon are cheaper than the actual books. That's another reason why I get it, it can save me relatively a lot of money in long term. I've previously bookmarked a dutiful article here which talks about this:
