My kindle 2's memory is full I delete everthing and it still isn't working?

I bought a kindle 2 and i bought some ebooks for it. a read a book and finished it so i deleted it i wanted to read it again about a month after that. so i tried to download it again. my kindle 2 told me i had used up all of my memory. i bought the kindle in the first place because it can hold "1,500 ebooks." in good health it told me that my memory was full when i only have 30 books on it. so i tried fixed my memory problem. i delete all my 30 books. when i was finished and i had delete everthing it still said this "your download was not succesful because your kindle memory is full please make room for new content by delete content from home. i have already deleted everything on the home screen and it still said that. What should i do?

What else do you enjoy on it apart from books? If you have music and pictures, that will eat up your memory as well...

It sounds resembling something is wrong with it. I would call Amazon they have be really helpful when I've had questions almost my kindle 2. Maybe they can walk you through a reset process or something, if not it should still be under warranty.
