What is a Kindle, and do they put up for sale it contained by England?
I heard it's something that carries all your books on it or something. but can someone explain to me how it works? and if they put up for sale it in England, because next april my father is sending me on a trip to england with the academy, and i'd like to get him something nice as a thank you from there, and he's sort of a book worm :D. so yeah.
-How does it work?
-What does it do?
-Do they put up for sale it in england?
-Does it need a wi-fi connection?
Thank you! :D

that will answer all of your question ^_^
It's a device that lets you read electronic version of books, sold through Amazon. You go to amazon.com and buy your book, and then Amazon sends the e-book to your device. It comes equipped with wireless connectivity to Amazon.
The device displays one page of the book at a time, and you own buttons that allow you to flip forward or back as you read.
As of now, it's sold only surrounded by the USA. I believe there may be other e-book readers that work outside the USA, though.
You inevitability to have a US credit card and a US shipping address in order to buy the Kindle... Read the unit "Is Kindle available to customers outside the United States?" here:

I'll recommend the Sony Reader instead. It is the best alternative of the Kindle. There is a good review here:

Right immediately it is not available in England yet, it is only available contained by the United States. It must be ordered online, and you can check it on the Kindle homepage from time to time to see if they change to allow order from other place.
There is no wi-fi for the Kindle, only free 3G internet access. But again, the free internet is available individual in the United States.
I'll suggest you to read this written by a top reviewer too, it outlines quite a lot of benefits of the Kindle:
