Is the electronic book reader(like Amazon Kindle or Sony) a appropriate substitute for books?

It''s a lot more fragile, and it won't last as long as a book and in valise you are freezing to death you won't be able to burn an e-book, but other than that, I'd utter it is a good substitute. I like the smell of books though, so I wouldn't give up broadsheet.
Yes, I do think so. I own the Kindle 2 and many books are available for the Kindle. Now I just carry most of my books on the Kindle, so I can centralize all my favorite books in one place, handy and convenient.

The electronic thing makes my eyes hurt after a while, its like reading from a comouter. After a while ur eyes ges teary and tired..
I prefer the book, the consistency, the smell... I think books are better.. But hopefully the electronic thing doesnt become books replacement untill after i am dead...
