Does anyone hold a Review of the Kindle DX?
Not really sure if I want to buy it yet, has anyone tried it out/have a review?
Answers:
the Kindle DX may be worth it if you want a highly portable reader with great PDF rendering and battery duration
Pros:
- The e-ink screen is gorgeous and definitely replicates a real ink-and-paper reading experience
- PDF rendering is great and remarkably accurate, even for complicated documents with many pictures/tables/graphs
- In portrait mode, normal reminder size documents like journal articles look great and are very readable
The build part is terrific
Cons:
- NO FOLDERS OR OTHER ORGANIZATION SYSTEM

I love my Kindle 2 very much, though I really like the native PDF support of the Kindle DX. If you are thinking of buying one, I'll enunciate get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has saved me reasonably a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really close to the idea that I can bring and store all the books beside the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I do not feel tired. My only complaint is the white covering, right now all the Kindles are in white color... I conjecture it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
I'll suggest you to read this review from a previous Kindle 2 owner, it has made me thinking of getting the Kindle DX and furnish my Kindle 2 to my brother:

I owned the Kindle 2 and Kindle DX has adjectives the benefits of the Kindle 2. I do think the Kindle DX is even better than the Kindle 2, so let me give you some of my opinion. I've to say I love my Kindle 2! I think I've read over 20 books with my Kindle, no glitches so far!
I love my Kindle because it have helped me improve a lot on my value and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like specifically simply wasted. Now I just need to bring the Kindle along next to me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which means I can "read" books lacking even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the step machine or doing some housework...
I resembling reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seem to work very well, it is really like reading books... Now I habitually read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired...
For books, books for the Kindle are cheaper than that of actual books. Amazon also provides quite a great deal of free or very cheap books:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i… (over 30,000 Kindle books which are under $1)

I do not likle buying books. You can read your own books, usually .mobi formatted; you have to email them to Amazon to have them converted to Kindle format; after that, you can either download them (for ten cents) or hold them emailed back (for free). The Mobileread forums have lots of discussions...
