Looking at the Amazon Kindle?
Do you think they are worth the money?
Answers:
I do imagine the Kindle worths the money. However, I don't think it will be too much difference in price even you get used ones. You know, even for the Kindle 1 next to much less features, the used ones are only selling at $100 cheaper than new Kindle 2:

The Kindle 2 is drastically hot selling so the price really doesn't differ much even for used ones. I'll suggest you to get the new one from Amazon to be safe, it is not worth to whip the risk just for saving a little money.
I'll also recommend you to read this review from an actual owner of Kindle 2:

I owned the Kindle 2, so let me give you some of my opinion. I've to say I love it! I think I've read over 20 books with my Kindle, no glitches so far!
I love my Kindle because it have helped me improve a lot on my success and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like to be exact simply wasted. Now I just need to bring the Kindle 2 along near me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which means I can "read" books lacking even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the step machine or doing some housework...
I resembling reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seem to work very well, it is really like reading books... Now I habitually read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired...
For the books, Kindle books are cheaper than actual books. Amazon also provides slightly a lot of free or very cheap books. I've bookmarked an article previously which talks just about this:

I love my Kindle 2 very much. If you are thinking of buying one, I'll influence get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has saved me moderately a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really resembling the idea that I can bring and store all the books beside the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My only complaint is the white armour, right now all the Kindles are in white color... I deem it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
