i own a vaio p, should i use this as a book reader or get a kindle?
Answers:
It depends on how you want to use it. The Kindle is designed specially for reading, and it uses e-ink technology which makes reading on it a short time ago like reading books. It is handy whenever you want to pick it out for some reading, and you can read with it comfortably even you're standing. You can also buy books very efficiently, and books for Kindle are cheaper. These all cannot be done by vaio p. I'll say if you plan to read book often, afterwards you should definitely go for the Kindle.

I owned the Kindle 2, so let me grant you some more of my opinions. I've to say I love it! I think I've read over 20 books near my Kindle, no glitches so far!

I love my Kindle because it has helped me improve greatly on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing approaching that is simply wasted. Now I just necessitate to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which method I can "read" books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the step mechanism or doing some housework...

I like reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But presently I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really approaching reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired...

As I said, Kindle books are cheaper than that of actual books. Amazon also provides comparatively a lot of free or very cheap books. I've previously bookmarked a good article discussion about this:

And I remember I read this review when I decide to buy the Kindle 2:

Do you plan to read books quite regularly with the book reader? If yes, then you must go for the Kindle as it have many benefits that normal notebook or netbook don't have. The Kindle is professionally designed for book reading, and it is to replace actual books next to a single device.

I'll suggest you to read this review, it outlines quite a lot of benefits of the Kindle:

I love my Kindle 2 very much. Since Amazon provides books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it have saved me quite a lot of money. Right immediately I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really like the idea that I can bring and store adjectives the books with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't touch tired. My only complaint is the white case, right now adjectives the Kindles are in white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or philosophical blue color Kindle ;)

If you are thinking of buying one, I'll say get it and you won't regret. Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00154J… (Kindle 2 homepage)
Hi, to be honest, I've never tried a "vaio p" but I hold a Kindle 2 all I can say is that I love it! If you love reading, it's definitely worth investing surrounded by a Kindle in my opinion. Source(s): http://www.mobileereaders.com
If want to get Kindle books (which are cheaper than physical books) then you must get the Kindle. Because Kindle books cannot be read on the computer, they can just be read on the Kindle.

I'll recommend you to read this review about the Kindle. It is the best one I've ever read:

Hope this helps you making up the decision.
I think the Kindle and vaio p are completely different things. The Kindle 2 is designed for reading with broad wireless coverage. You can logically do more things on vaio p, but for reading it will not be as convenient and comfortable as the Kindle 2.

You can just carry the Kindle to read even when you are standing and without a table within front of you, you can "listen" to books with your hands and eyes free through the text-to-speech function, you can download the ebooks or read BLOGs / simple websites you like anywhere (even when you're within public transport, just anywhere with whispernet coverage), and screen is designed for best reading comfort, adjectives these cannot be done by vaio p. Kindle books and the newpaper/magazine subscription are cheaper than actual books too, as you can see in the links below:

Note that for books, newspapers, and magazines available for the Kindle, they cannot be read on the computer and they must be read next to the Kindle.

I recommend you to read this review. Guess it can help you decide:
