Has your Amazon Kindle ever needed to be replaced?

I'm extremely interested in getting a Kindle 2 (I've never owned an electronic reading device) but I'm worried about how long it will last. I realize that the Kindle 2 is pretty new, and nobody has probably had it long adequate for it to fail on them, yet, but what about the Kindle 1? I've hear that once they fail, you have to pay practically full price to replace it, and commonly they don't last for much more than a year. If you have a Kindle (any generation) what has your experience be? What are you happy with, and unhappy near?

I know Amazon provides 2 years extended insurance on the Kindle. So if you worry that it will fail it may be good to take the insurance. See here for a Kindle 1 and Kindle 2 owner:

And the best way to find out whether the Kindle is good or not, is to read review from actual owner, the people who are in truth using it. Here is a very good actual user review about the pros and cons of the Kindle:

So when you buy the Kindle, I'll suggest you to acquire this light together if you'll read in the dark:

Many of my friends own the Kindle and they adjectives like it. Some own more than one year. One of my friend has accidentally dropped his Kindle and got it broken. That should be his error, because he didn't buy any cover to protect it... I haven't heard of any problem from other of my friends yet.

So make sure you carry a cover to protect your Kindle. I heard that this one is really good, just read one or two customer reviews inside should relieve your decision:

I think it is best to hear experience from owners of the Kindle, they can tell truely whether it is really moral to use it. I'll recommend you to read this review, it is the best one I've ever read:

In my opinion, I do think it is a good hit and miss to buy the Kindle 2 as it just has a price drop last month. So help yourself to the chance :) Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00154J… (Kindle 2 after price drop)
