Does anyone enjoy an Amazon Kindle?
If so, what do you think of it, is it worth the price? Also how are the book selections? I am thinking about getting one but for 350 it's a huge investment... especially since it's not something you can run in a store and try out, it's pretty much a blind purchase. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I own the Kindle 2, so let me give you some of my opinion. I've to say I love it! I think I've read over 20 books with my Kindle, no glitches so far!
There are presently over 300,000 books available for the Kindle on Amazon, and the number if growing (I remember it is 270,000 Kindle books when I buy my Kindle 2). You can do a search here to see if the books you want is in the Kindle store or not:

Even if a book is not available for the Kindle, you can press something resembling "tell the publisher that you want the book in Kindle" in the paperback performance on Amazon, and if there is enough people requesting it will be near. I've tried this on one book myself, and it is available for the Kindle after one month.
I love my Kindle because it has helped me improve profoundly on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing close to that is simply wasted. Now I just entail to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which process I can "read" books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the step gadget or doing some housework...
I did have the same concern as you, that I never saw it when I bought it. But after reading something from actual owners of the Kindle, I feel more comfortable to win it. I remember I read these reviews when I decided to buy it:

Hi, I have a Kindle 2 and I love it! I don't have to carry huge, unwieldy books with me everywhere anymore. I was afraid that it would be unhealthy for my eyes but it feel as if I was reading a real book. In my opinion it's unequivocally worth it.

I love my Kindle 2 very much. If you are thinking of buying one, I'll say carry it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has saved me quite deeply of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really like the concept that I can bring and store all the books with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read next to the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My only complaint is the white case, right in a minute all the Kindles are in white color... I think it will be cool if I can own a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
I'll suggest you to read this review too, it outlines quite a lot of benefits of the Kindle:
