The Amazon Kindle is very soon $299, do you guess it's worth it?
I saw that the Kindle is $299. I've always thought it would be nice to carry all my books and magazine in one device, but thought the Kindle was kind of expensive. What do you guys conjecture. Would you buy one on at this price?

Answers:
No, I'd want it to be a good bit cheaper. I prefer concrete books, so would only use a reader at times when I couldn't carry a pile of books around - like when travelling etc. But I wouldn't want it to be too expensive within that case, in case I lost it somewhere.
I guess if you do plentifully of travelling, though, it would be worth it. Like everything, it depends how much you're likely to use it, and how its features compare to other, similar products (e.g. Sony Reader).
I love my Kindle 2 very much indeed. If you are thinking of buying one, I'll say attain it and you won't regret, especially it just have the price cut down. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has save me quite a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books near the Kindle, and I really like the idea that I can bring and store all files with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My single complaint is the white case, right now all the Kindles are contained by white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
I'll suggest you to read this review too, it outlines moderately a lot of benefits of the Kindle:

I wouldnt buy it because I would be annoyed reading off a screen
Yes, I do think it is worth. Quite a number of my friends get the Kindle before the price cut, and they all like it. I'll suggest you to read one or two review from actual owner of the Kindle, and you'll know how it is worth from the spectacle of actual owners. See this review, it is the best one I've ever read:

I bought it at $359, just after the Kindle 2 released for one month. I think even at the original price it is worth to me.
I love my Kindle because it have helped me improve a lot on my efficacy and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like specifically simply wasted. Now I just need to bring the Kindle 2 along beside me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which means I can "read" books minus even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the step machine or doing some housework...
And I remember I read this review when I wish to buy the Kindle 2. They give very good points on how the Kindle is worth the price:

Heaps of other, more reliable option.
