Can I put my eBooks onto a Kindle?

I'm seriously considering buying a Kindle, but I'm nervous that the many eBooks on my computer in PDF won't be capable of be uploaded. I'm not so worried about "conversion" into the Kindle, as they're all text, but I don't want to own to re-buy these books.
Answers:
Hi, Kindle supports pdf so you won' t hold any difficulties reading your ebooks on Kindle. There are plenty more formats it supports, like mp3, jpeg, etc.: http://www.mobileereaders.com/Amazon_Kin…

Hope it helps!
Yes, you can put PDF to Kindle 2 with conversion. There is a good review here talking roughly this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…

And here is the steps on how you can convert PDF to the Kindle for free, as seen from Amazon Kindle sales page:

Personal Document Service Via Whispernet

Kindle makes it trouble-free to take your personal documents with you, eliminating the necessitate to print. Each Kindle has a unique and customizable e-mail address. You can set your unique email address on your Manage Your Kindle page. This allows you and your approved contacts to e-mail Word, PDF documents, and pictures wirelessly to your Kindle for a small fee--see details. Kindle supports wireless nativity of unprotected Microsoft Word, PDF, HTML, TXT, RTF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PRC and MOBI files.

In addition to the existing experimental support of PDF, you can also send DOCX files for conversion. Some complex PDF and DOCX files might not format correctly on your Kindle.

If you would like to download your personal documents for free, or if you are not contained by a wireless area, you can send attachments to "name"(a)free.kindle.com to be converted and e-mailed to your computer at the e-mail address associated with your Amazon.com side login. You can then transfer the document to your Kindle using your USB connection. For example, if your Kindle email address is Jay(a)Kindle.com, convey your attachments to Jay(a)free.kindle.com. So your ebooks are in PDF format, right? If it doesn't contain complex tables or charts, it should work well within the Kindle 2. I've put a number of PDF files to my Kindle 2 and it works good.

I own the Kindle 2, so let me donate you some more of my opinions. I've to say I love it! I think I've read over 20 books near my Kindle, no glitches so far!

I love my Kindle because it has helped me improve closely on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing close to that is simply wasted. Now I just have need of to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which ability I can "read" books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the cycling piece of equipment or doing some housework...

I like reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But in a minute I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really resembling reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired... And in a minute I prefer to keep and organize all my books on my Kindle a bit than organizing all the physical books, it is really much more convenient.

And just within case you don't know, Kindle books are cheaper than that of actual books, many new books are sold at $9.99 or below. Amazon also provides reasonably a lot of free or very cheap books. I've previously bookmarked a good article conversation about this:

I remember I read this review when I decide to buy the Kindle 2:

Read the middle of this article about reading PDF on the Kindle:

Yes, you can use the free conversion that comes with the Kindle to convert PDF to Kindle format, and read on the device. When you get your Kindle and see the manual, you'll know how to do it.

I love my Kindle 2 hugely much indeed. If you are thinking of buying one, I'll say get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has save me quite a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books beside the Kindle, and I really like the idea that I can bring and store all files with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My one and only complaint is the white case, right now all the Kindles are surrounded by white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)

I'll suggest you to read this review too, it outlines comparatively a lot of benefits of the Kindle:

And it is good for you that Amazon just announced to chop the price of the Kindle 2 for $60. See it surrounded by the official page here:

Hope this helps.
