I love my Kindle 2 very much indeed. If you are thinking of buying one, I'll say go and get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has saved me quite closely of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really like the view that I can bring and store all the books with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read near the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My only complaint is the white case, right in a minute all the Kindles are in white color... I think it will be cool if I can own a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
I'll also suggest you to read this review too, it outlines quite a lot of benefits of the Kindle:

And it is well-mannered for you that Amazon just announced to chop the price of the Kindle 2 for $60. See it in the official page here:

If you would approaching to download your personal documents for free, or if you are not in a wireless area, you can send attachments to "name"(a)free.kindle.com to be converted and e-mailed to your computer at the e-mail address associated near your Amazon.com account login. What are the file formats of your ebooks? If they are PDF or Word documents, you can convert them to Kindle format and read on the Kindle. If it doesn't contain complex tables or charts, it should work well surrounded by the Kindle 2. I've put a number of PDF and Word files to my Kindle 2 and it works good. If your ebooks contain complex tables or charts however, you better step for the Kindle DX.
I own the Kindle 2, so let me give you some more of my opinions. I've to enunciate I love it! I think I've read over 20 books with my Kindle, no glitches so far!
I love my Kindle because it has help me improve a lot on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time close to when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like that is simply idle. Now I just need to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. Another entry I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which means I can "read" books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I similar to to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the cycling machine or doing some housework...
I like reading and at the setting up I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work really well, it is really like reading books... Now I often read next to the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired...
And just in skin you don't know, Kindle books are cheaper than that of actual books. Amazon also provides quite a lot of free or very cheap books. I've previously bookmarked a moral article talking about this:
