Can i use my kindle surrounded by ixtapa mexico? (will i enjoy connectivity via whispernet)?
i'll be vacationing on the beach in SW mexico near zihuatenejo and ixtapa and want to know whether i can expect to download more books to read on my kindle while i'm in attendance, or whether i should load up before i go.

There is no whispernet access in Mexico. Here is how to use the Kindle outside the United States:

It's a bit clumsy. So I'll suggest that if you can, do it in the past you go.
The wispernet works on the sprint network so downloading via the wispernet will not work outside of the US.
Outside of the US you can download books via the internet to a computer and then upload them from your computer to the kindle.
Likely easier to just download the stuff when you are contained by the US. Source(s): Live in Mexico and the wife has a kindle 2.
