What is your feelings of the Amazon Kindle (1, 2 or DX)?

Do you own one? If you do, is it any good (readability, battery charge, selection...) I be also wondering if books stay in your library indefinitely or if it needs to be renewed like other reading devices
Answers:
Yes, if you've the money choose Kindle DX:

Otherwise, get the Kindle 2. Here is another great review:

Hope this help you making up the decision.
I love my Kindle 2 terribly much. If you are thinking of buying a Kindle, I'll say get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has save me quite a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books next to the Kindle, and I really like the idea that I can bring and store all paperwork with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My one and only complaint is the white case, right now all the Kindles are contained by white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)

Yes, books a short time ago stay in your Kindle indefinitely, like a library. You owns the electronic books that you bought forever.

I'll suggest you to read this review too, it outlines quite deeply of benefits of the Kindle:

For different models of the Kindle, I'll say go for Kindle 2 if you don't need to read complex PDF or sizeable books. Otherwise, go for the Kindle DX. They are both great!

Hope this helps.
I own the Kindle 2 and I love it! I dream up I've read over 20 books with my Kindle since I bought it a few months ago, no glitches so far!

I like reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the sense of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink work very well and it is really resembling reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired...

For battery-operated charge, it can be used for a few days without recharging. I often turn sour the whispernet (wireless network) access, so my Kindle can normally last for a week on single charge...

For books, I find the Kindle store keep growing nippy. I remember it is 270,000 Kindle books available when I bought my Kindle, but now there are over 320,000 books available. And in luggage you don't know, Kindle books are cheaper than that of actual books, many new books are sold at $9.99 or below. For books in the public domain, I can merely get it free from Amazon (or some sites like http://manybooks.net/) and store on my Kindle, so I no longer need to shift to the library to borrow and it can be done with a few clicks on the device. Amazon also provides quite a lot drastically cheap books. I've previously bookmarked a good article talking about this:

And you can keep hold of the books forever. Kindle 2 can hold 1500 books while Kindle DX can hold even more. And I remember I read this review when I decided to buy my Kindle 2:

I'll suggest you to go for any Kindle 2 or Kindle DX. (Kindle 1 lacks some features, and navigation is not as convenient). This review should be able to help you decide which to step for:

Hope it helps :) Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00154J… (Kindle 2 sales page)

My opinion is that if you like larger peak and can afford the higher price, then go for the Kindle DX. Read this review here:

If you've predetermined budget, go for the Kindle 2. It is also great and many of my friends love it.
