Answers:
I own the Kindle 2 and I like it completely much. Basically, Amazon produces this device, and it makes a lot of books become available in electronic publication (over 320,000 right now) so we can buy and read on the Kindle. I like it because I can buy books now at a cheaper rate compared to actual books, and I can replace all chunky books with this handy device. I can bring it wherever I want to, so I can utilize my time whenever I've some free time (like I'm waiting for friends, shuttle bus, or whatever).
I'm an avid reader and at the beginning I missed a bit on the reaction of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink work very well, it is really resembling reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired... And presently I prefer to keep and organize all my books on my Kindle to some extent than organizing all the physical books, it is really much more convenient.
I remember I read these reviews when I decided to procure my Kindle. Guess they will give you a good idea roughly speaking it:

Finally, Amazon just announced a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it is now selling $60 cheaper than the price I got my Kindle... So it is a apt chance now if you want to get it.
Hope it help. Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00154J… (Kindle 2 sales page)
Kindle is an ebook reader!
Its a little below the size of an average paperback book, but its very light.
I personally dont use the kindle or any other ebook reading devices. i own a monitor built to read books on the computer, but many of my friends have kindles.
I prefer ebooks because i dont involve to hold anything, and i never need to go to the library! Plus, i like knowing i enjoy over 200 other books that i actually want to read. I like being competent to choose any which one at my fancy to choose from whenever i finish a book.
i love books like the first person. i want a kindle but dont want ya know?
An ebook reading device. The concept is not new, but Amazon is pushing their exclusive format which, of course, can only be read using a Kindle device.
I hold been reading ebooks since 2003. I always used a PDA type device to carry my ebooks and read them. The end PDA I used was a Dell Axxim Pocket PC. I still have it.
I currently use a Sony ebook reader. I am not too happy near some of Amazon's business practices and the direction they seem to be taken so I refuse to bother with their product.
I prefer both ebooks and print books. Ebooks grant me cnvenience. I can literally carry hundreds of books with me on my commutes to/from work, and also when I travel.
I love my Kindle 2 very much. Let me tell you the benefits it has brought to me.
Amazon provides books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it have saved me quite a lot of money. Right immediately I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really like the idea that I can bring and store adjectives the books with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't discern tired. My only complaint is the white case, right now adjectives the Kindles are in white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or philosophical blue color Kindle ;)
There is an article here talking about how the Kindle works:

I'll suggest you to read this review too, it outlines quite plentifully of benefits of the Kindle:

Kindle is a very expensive and exotic form of computerized book access. You can access the internet with it, download books, read them. It is 'way overpriced. I prefer a PDA or an ebook reader. Some own multiple functions like the Kindle at half the cost. People love them and hate them. I basically don't need all the extra gimmicks. You can read just about them at Amazon.com. The Kindle 2 does videos. If you have $350 or so to spend it can be great. So far it's 'upgraded' every year or less. Obsolete surrounded by a year? Not for me. Give me a $5 ebook or a paperback anytime. Source(s): Amazon.com
A Kindle:
Amazon Kindle is a software and hardware platform developed by Amazon.com subsidiary Lab126 for reading e-books and other digital media. Three hardware devices, known as "Kindle", "Kindle 2," and "Kindle DX" support this platform, as does an iPhone application called "Kindle for iPhone". The first device be released in the United States on November 19, 2007.
The Kindle hardware devices use E Ink brand electronic paper displays, and are able to download content over Amazon Whispernet using the Sprint EVDO framework. Kindle hardware devices can be used without a computer, and Whispernet is accessible without any fee. These devices also provide free internet access to Wikipedia. The Kindle is not available outside the US due to import/export law and other restrictions.
On March 3, 2009, Amazon.com launched an application entitled Kindle for iPhone in the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch owners to read Kindle content. Through a technology termed "Whispersync," customers can save their place across Kindle hardware devices and other mobile devices.
Amazon announced the Kindle DX on May 6, 2009. This device has a larger screen than its predecessors and supports PDF files natively. It is marketed as more suitable for displaying broadsheet and textbook content.

I personally like the actual novels within book form, as I have an obsession with them. They in recent times make me happy, everything about them. So I pretty much want to take EVERY book I see... (though I can't it's too expensive at these times...) It's just simpler to read. Kindles are obviously easier to carry around though. That's necessarily it...

Many of my friends own the Kindle and they like it very much. It is supposed to be replacing rag books. For me, I prefer Kindle too as it is handy and all in one. You no longer need the treatise books, dictionaries, highlight pens, handwriting notes, because everything can be done surrounded by the Kindle.
There is a good review here from a first time Kindle owner:

Because I love the idea of owning a personal library in my home in the adjectives, I love physical books. I love the nostalgia, I love the smell, I love the covers and design and flipping pages... I'm just a book lover similar to that <3
Kindle is an e-book gadget developed by Amazon. All you do is purchase an e-copy off of Amazon and it'll display on your Kindle. You can use Kindle to add notes to the page, or other interactive features. They're good if you like to carry "multiple" books beside you at a time, or if you don't like the idea of owning a bunch of physical copies.
