How does the amazon kindle work?
how do you get books on it? Is it worth $300 to buy? I love to read but buying books all the time gets expensive.

I don't have a kindle, but have a sony e-reader. There are differences, but I will narrate you my experience with mine. You go online and buy the books you want. I believe beside the kindle, you can do it right from your e-reader. Sony, I need a computer, then transfer paperwork to my e-reader.
I love my e-reader for classics. I can get lots of classics for free. Since that is what I like to read, it is worth the money for me. BUT, for newer books, you should really look at the kindle store. You have need of to see what types of books you read to see it is worth buying. A lot of times, I am discovering that the prices for e-books are the same or more than buying an actual copy of the book. That is disappointing.
I get the Kindle last Christmas and it's worth every penny! To get books on it, you simply turn the wireless on (an option on the drop down list) and click budge to the kindle store on the drop down list. Amazon sends the bill to the credit card that you have it registered under and you achieve the book in mere seconds. I just love it! I like my Kindle because I can buy books at a cheaper rate compared to actual books, and I can replace all calorific books with this handy device. I can bring it wherever I want to, so I can utilize my time whenever I've some free time (like I'm waiting for friends, shuttle bus, or whatever).
I'm an avid reader and at the beginning I missed a bit on the premonition of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink work very well, it is really close to reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired... And in a minute I prefer to keep and organize all my books on my Kindle a bit than organizing all the physical books, it is really much more convenient.

A number of my friends have the Kindle and they all resembling it. There are some books that I want to read, but I found they can always get the Kindle edition at a much better price than I can in paperback edition. If you are thinking of buying a Kindle, I'll vote get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has saved me reasonably a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really approaching the idea that I can bring and store all the books next to the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My only complaint is the white bag, right now all the Kindles are in white color... I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
