Does anyone own the kindle for reading their college textbook?
I am thinking about buying a kindle and want to know if it is worth it for my textbooks. What is the experience like?

I don't have a Kindle myself, but a number of my classmates enjoy and I really admire them. I know they have got some textbook on the Kindle.

I've also got a few textbooks on my Kindle. It saved me some filling weights, and I'm waiting for Amazon to release more textbooks for the Kindle so eventually I only need to bring the Kindle beside me and no more textbooks. That will really be amazing :)

Yes, I own the Kindle and I've get a few textbooks on it. There will be more and more textbooks available for the Kindle, as Amazon has signed contract beside some main textbooks publishers (which represents 60% of the textbook market). I love my Kindle 2 very much indeed. If you are thinking of buying a Kindle, I'll say get it and you won't regret. Other than textbook, Amazon also provides books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, so it has saved me quite abundantly of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really like the impression that I can bring and store all the books with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read next to the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My only complaint is the white case, right in a minute all the Kindles are in white color... I think it will be cool if I can enjoy a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
