A Gospel Enigma--John the Baptist go to the desert to kindle the inner frothy? Or to promote familial values?

Do the Christian gospels really promote family values? Or are the gospels simply the records of some early spiritual seekers? I see abundantly of Eastern Philosopy in these "Christian" scriptures. How about you?

Where in the world did this "house values" thing come from?

The answer to the first question is neither. John did not budge into the wilderness to promote family values, nor did he go to kindle inner pale. The light was already with him. He go to escape the elements that would quench the light.

Christ spoke of something similar in the story of the Sower. Within that parable, he mentioned that some seed was sown among the weed, and as it grew the weeds grew along with it and choked it so that it died. He mentioned later that this is approaching the one who receives the word with joy, but afterwards allows the worries and cares of the world to choke the life out of his faith. John, have the great task of preparing the way of the Messiah, chose to isolate himself from those things that would prevent his being arranged for his ultimate purpose.

Second question: Family valuse are not the purpose of the gospel. They are a pleasant by-product. Just like the purpose of a bee is not to trade name honey, but to pollonate, we enjoy the values that are produced as a result of the life of faith.

Question Three: The gospels are more than the record of Eastern mystics. They are the record of the consummation of God's ultimate purpose, which is a direct interaction between humanity and divinity.

Question Four: Yes, I do. The gospels were written by population of Eastern culture. Christ himself was/is Jewish, although he taught that the priority is not ceremony and misticism, but rather a right relationship with the Creator and the fellow Created beings.

Question Five: See my response to request for information one.
This family values item came from politicians seeking to use the simple "faith" of people who would otherwise vote differently against them.
The Christian Gospels promote a relationship with God and man that is designed to be intimate and commonly edifying. Family Values is a designer possession created to complain about people straying from Biblical Christianity without using the occupancy Christian.
You should see Eastern Philosophy in the Christian scriptures because God related first to the Jews after the fall of man ("to the Jew first, and also to the Greek"). Jews are, after adjectives, an oriental culture...therefore, the fragmenting of relationships in the Eastern World led to adjectives philosophies much in the same way it have happened in the Western World.
A relationship with God requires a good relationship with mankind without compromising the standards God himself set forth.
The scripture is replete with nouns concerning this. Jesus himself spoke more about loving your brother than heaven and hell combined.
