Why is James Jeans' exhibition call Kindling?

How does the name Kindling relate to his work?
Answers:
The word kindling commonly refers to material for lighting a fire.
It also can be used to mean a litter (usually cats or rabbits) or spawn in general.
I think he's suggesting by using "Kindling" as a title is that these works are the beginnings of a strip of thought or they are supposed to spark the imagination of the viewer. Also, because many of the works feature children, he is alluding to the second implication of the word and a child's imaginary world coupled with the fantasies and desires it represents.

The subjects, as the artist explains, glide through the tableau, tracing a narrative of thwarted desires. His subtle yet suggestive themes of metamorphosis, mortality, and sexuality blend together seamlessly, bridging the gap between the solid and imagined.
