Amazon Kindle: Is this shortage (out of stock) a intended marketting ploy?
It doesn't make sense to me. Amazon Kindle was "sold out" in 5 hours after its debut (they never disclose how many). It's be out of stock for 3 weeks, and Amzon cannot even predict how long your order takes. Ebay seller is fetching $8OO-1000 for it. It doesn't require an special part of a set as it's basically SONY Reader + EVDO Cell phone, both are available from many stores. Besides, Jeff Bezo had 2 years to plan to trade this. Am I the only person who thinks here is something wrong here?
