Is it ok to charge Kindle 2 surrounded by Cancun?
Do i need anything extra to safely charge my kindle in Cancun, Mexico? A plug adapter, converter, or surge protector?

No have need of. You should check the charger of the Kindle 2, it should be universal and accept 100~240V.

Nope. Mexico is 120V with US standard parallel blade plugs.
The Kindle charger should universal 100~240V anyhow.
