A little Kindle confusion?

I've got 4 questions about the Kindle (2, DX):

1) Is it a moment ago, like, you can read books/magazines/whatever on it instead of using paper?

2) Do you need Wifi to use it (at adjectives times)?

3) Can you get it in Canada?

4) Is it worth the money?

Thanks!
Answers:
1. Yes

2. No. The Kindle don't have wi-fi actually, it only have wireless. The wireless only work in area inside the United States which is covered by wireless gridiron.

3. No. But it will work in Canada if you can find someone to buy it for you. See here for more about using the Kindle internationally:

4. Yes, I think so. If you're decide between the Kindle 2 or the Kindle DX, you can read this review:

Hope this helps you making up the decision.
1) Yes,Kindle is a reading device that you can read books/ magazines/ whatever on it instead of using paper

2) You don't entail wifi all the times, you need it when you download and Amazon provides wireless connectivity free of charge to you for certain content shopping and downloading services on your Device. For more detail

3) Now this item can be shipped solely within the U.S.

4) for one who love reading and don't want to carry heavy treatise,it is worth it. Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…
1) Yes.

2) No. When you have books on it, you'll to able to read them.

3) No, may be you can find a US friend to get it for you

4) I deduce so. Read here for an excellent review which also compare the Kindle with Sony Reader and iRex at the end:

You can choose a cover to protect your Kindle:

For me, I'll choose this cover as it gives excellent protection:

Hope this help you decide.
1) Yes, you are right. I recommend you to read these reviews and you'll know more about the Kindle:

2) No, you in recent times need to get the books to the Kindle device, later you can read it without any internet connection. To get books on Kindle, any:

i. Connect the Kindle through the free Whispernet network (within the United States)

ii. Get the book through computer with internet connection, afterwards copy to the Kindle device through USB cable.

3) See the section "Is Kindle available to customers outside the United States?" here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…

But you've a friend in the U.S., you can send him/her the cooperation to the Kindle (I attach at the end) and ask him/her to buy it and send it to you. Ask to use his/her Amazon account to get books to your computer within Canada, then copy it to the Kindle device through USB cable.

So only Whispernet (the free wireless network come near the Kindle) won't work, all other functions will work in Canada. You can see a good discussion here on how the device work contained by Mexico, it just work the same in Canada:

4) I own the Kindle 2. It is wonderful and unambiguously a great buy. And in case you don't know, Amazon has only just put a price slash on the Kindle 2, so it is now selling $60 cheaper than the price I got my Kindle... Take the chance if you want it.

Hope it help :) Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00154J… (Kindle 2 after price slash)
1) Yes, here are over 300,000 books that you can get:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…

And the magazine you can get on the Kindle:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…

2) No. You can read any books already on the Kindle device without internet access

3) No, you need an U.S. credit card and shipping address when you buy the Kindle. But you can use it within Canada without problem, just like several U.S. people bring their Kindle device everywhere in the world and they can use it without any problem.

4) I love my Kindle 2 outstandingly much. If you are thinking of getting a Kindle, I'll say get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has save me quite a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books beside the Kindle, and I really like the idea that I can bring and store all accounts with the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, so even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My one and only complaint is the white case, right now all the Kindles are within white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)

I'll suggest you to read this review from a top reviewer, it outlines slightly a lot of benefits of the Kindle and also why it is worth especially at the end of the review:

BTW, there are some website resembling this one, where you can find more than 20,000 free books for the Kindle. So no need to go to library to borrow them, you can in fact own them:

Hope this helps.

Is Amazon Kindle worth the money?
Can you get a lot of different books on there? If you read a great deal (and buy your books as opposed to getting them from the library), then the Kindle is definitely worth the money. If you don't usually buy frequent books, it might not save you any money, but the convenience factor is still...
