Do you close to your kindle?
pros and cons? thanks
Answers:
I love my Kindle 2 very much. If you are thinking of getting a Kindle, I'll say-so get it and you won't regret. Since Amazon provide books for the Kindle cheaper than actual books, it has saved me rather a lot of money. Right now I've read over 10 books with the Kindle, and I really resembling the idea that I can bring and store all the books next to the handy device. Besides, it uses the e-ink technology, it is really clear like reading books; and even I read with the device for long hours, I don't feel tired. My single complaint is the white case, right now all the Kindles are surrounded by white color... I think it will be cool if I can have a black or deep blue color Kindle ;)
I suggest you to read this review from a top reviewer who is also a book lover, it outlines pretty a lot of benefits of the Kindle and also why it is worth especially at the end of the review:

BTW, there are some website close to this one, where you can find more than 20,000 free books for the Kindle. So no need to go to library to borrow them, you can in reality own them:

Hope this helps.
I've the Kindle 2 and it is great. I bought it when it is launched at the beginning of this year. Now it is $100 cheaper than the price I get it, so it is definitely a great chance to get it.
Books are cheaper on the Kindle, and it have saved me quite a lot of money on buying books. And I really close to I can do everything on the Kindle device, no longer need any pen and paper to drop down notes, nor another dictionary to look up words, nor any bookmark... Everything can be done on this handy device.
I remember I read these reviews when I arranged to get my Kindle:

Hope it helps :) Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00154J… (Kindle 2 after price slash)
Overall, yes I like my Kindle. My "profile" is voracious reader (due to needing massive amounts of "input" to occupy my mind) who loves the cheapies, beside a side of girly tech geek. I'm not blinded by the device though, so here are my Pro/Con lists.
PRO:
I always have a book near me, even when I'm on the last page of any particular one
There are tons of free books which don't feel resembling freebies through sites other than Amazon
Kindle can surf the web; ok, sort of dog-paddle but I have used it to find a restaurant while sitting within the park
It accesses Wiki from everywhere; I take it with a small piece of salt, but I need input so there's nothing comparatively like it
I calculated the $300 I paid against the 2-3 years I figured the device would end before dying, factored in the allure of actually paying for a book every in a minute and then and came out ahead
CON:
Buying a book is a little too unproblematic: Amazon keeps your cc on file so you can pay minus thinking
Searching the bookstore from the Kindle won't give you all options as online (sort by price specifically), nor are prices on the query results page
I have to search online through a computer to find the best deals through Amazon
Can't share a apposite book with a friend, nor a horrible one for that matter
People interrupt me when I'm reading, with question on "that thing"
It's an expensive, highly portable device; sometimes I want to read but it feels unsafe to pull it out surrounded by certain places (on the bus, mainly)
NEUTRAL:
DRM, I don't mind. I'm no pirate
SUPER-CON
Although I'm not Christan, I do believe Amazon may be the Anti-Christ: I have read online that if my Kindle is stolen, Amazon won't do a damn thing to oblige find it nor even render the device inoperable. Nevermind the fact that when the wireless is on, it is constantly calling Amazon. It can identify itself by serial number (which isn't a removable part and is not something that a thief or reseller could alter) AND because it call along cellphone towers the thief's location could be triangulated and given to the police. But that doesn't happen for some unknown reason... Like the fact that resourceful customer will probably buy a new Kindle (from Amazon) while thieving customer is a thief, but Amazon only see "customer" once they start buying books to their "new" Kindle. Seems to me that Amazon makes more money when the things get stolen. I don't believe this is an acceptable style to treat a customer. Simply rendering a stolen device inoperable would go
a long way to proving that it's about providing power service, not about money.
If I had known super-con formerly I got the Kindle, I would have not felt as positive in the region of Kindle's parent company Amazon. I might have been more reluctant to buy it because I trust Amazon less. But even next to super-con taken into consideration, the device itself is heavy on the PRO.
I suggest you to read this review. It mentions about pros and cons of the Kindle, and is the best review I've ever read about it:
