Should I get hold of an iPod Touch or a Kindle?
I was thinking about getting a kindle and then i saw an tag on on amazon.com that said that you can get ebooks on your iPod Touch if you have the Kindle app. I was basically wondering if anyone has an iPod Touch that uses the Kindle feature and just pros and cons of respectively.
Answers:
Definitely the Kindle. Read this, it is the best review I've ever read, and should help you to decide:

Do you plan to read quite regularly? If so, you should definitely choose the Amazon Kindle. If you read too much with the iTouch, it will hurt your eyes... Because it isn't designed for reading. The screen of iPod Touch is also too small for reading.
There is a totally thorough review here about the pros and cons of the Kindle. Indeed, you can listen to MP3 with the Kindle, as you can see in the middle of the review:

Hope this help you decide.

I don't think you should mix the two, bad things could happen to your ipod if you use an incorrect format only to look at a book.
Do you plan to read books often with the device? If so, I'll recommend you to get the Kindle instead.
When using the iPod Touch to read books, here are quite a lot of people complaining in the region of the small screen size, discomfort for long reading, no wireless access and no access of Kindle store for instant download of books and newspapers, etc., when compared to the Kindle. If you only use the device for reading occasionally later it should be fine. But if you'll use it for reading often then it is the best bet to buy the Kindle.
It is great that they just chopped the price of the Kindle 2, it is presently a good chance to get it, as it is $60 cheaper than when I bought mine...
And I recommend you to read these reviews of the Kindle too, they outline slightly a lot of benefits of the Kindle:
