Amazon Kindle: Do you HAVE TO download eBooks directly to the Kindle?
My mother-in-law bought my father-in-law an Amazon Kindle for Christmas, and now they want my help to make it work.
They are rural and thus outside of Sprint's EVDO lattice, which is required to download content over the air.
So, my question is this:
Can you buy Kindle - programmed books on Amazon, download them to your PC, and then verbs them to the Kindle via a USB cable or some other cable?
I haven't seen the Kindle or the box it came in to see if near were instructions or any cables included. Just my mother-in-law calling me on the phone asking me to help her beside no working knowledge of the gadget.
Perhaps Kindle has an online support page or some place to get this variety of information online.

I did a quick look around, and own found that the Kindle does come with a USB 2.0 cable. The review that I looked at talked about converting information that could be downloaded, and the transfered to the Kindle via the USB cable. With this contained by mind, it seems logical that you would be able to download books also and transfer them as okay in the same way. Another picking is that the Kindle has an SD card slot, and you might be able to transfer information this instrument.
