Nook or Sony ereader? (not so fond of the kindle)?
I've been considering getting an ereader, but im not sure which one. I dont like the kindle's design, but i like the nook and the sony ereader. I've already read the comparisons against the kindle, but they dont compare against respectively other. Any suggestions? All answers are greatly appreciated!!

The main difference that I know for sure is the Nook is a little bigger than the Sony, the actual screen is roughly speaking the size of a mass market paperback. You can preorder a nook at any Barnes and Noble store. The shipping date was Dec. 11th. but if you just immediately place an order it has moved back to Dec. 17th. The big BN stores might grasp some in stock but right now you have to directive them. Most stores will get a demo around Nov. 30th and they are running videos about the nook surrounded by most stores.
The Nook has the at&t 3g network so you can get books anywhere you could bring back out on a 3g phone and it doesn't cost extra to use it. You can also read any book free as long as you are in a BN store and use their free wifi. I haven't seen where you can do that on the Sony ereader. You can lend a book for 14 days one time to a friend that have a Nook, I don't think Sony has that. The Nook holds 1500 books, the Sony holds 350, and with a memory card the Nook can hold an superfluous 17,500 books. Also where the Nook goes through BN which is the biggest book store in the world you hold access to over a million books and some of those are free because they go through google free books as well, so there are thousands of free books that you can bring back in seconds.
And yes I do work at a BN part time but if I didn't close to something about the Nook I'd tell you. The only article I've found that it doesn't have that some of the other ones do have, is where it can whip text and make it audio. Since it is electronic though, it sounds really funny and a lot of the publishing companies wouldn't pass them the rights to do that so it's not on most books. In my opinion, right now, the Nook is the best e-reader out there and I would really approaching to have one, but to be honest I'm going to wait till around January or February and see what else comes out. There are several others coming out and I want to see if they are better. But again if you're wanting it for Christmas, I think it's the best entity out right now and you better order it now because they hold on to having to push back the shipping date because of so many directives. I hope you enjoy which ever one you decide on. Source(s): http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nook/?cds2…
