Making a writing nook on...?
my bed? how should I do it so my pens and stuff don't go flying off of my bed when I'm sleeping

I agree beside the other answerer, attach a cup or some other storage device to the wall or the headboard or something.
Another option is to use a basket or a box. When you're about to sleep, put your stuff surrounded by the basket/box, and put it beside or under your bed. :)
Do you have like a wooden frame? If so, go and get a cup, decorate it, and attach it with velcro or something. If not, just put a bedside table subsequent to your bed, that's what I do :)
