but say for example i was traveling and contained by the middle of my trip i finish my book. would i be able to buy a new book while sitting in my sports car??

Answers:
Yes, you can buy books anywhere, provided that you are in area covered by 3G or WiFi network. It is duplicate case when you travel. But if you're outside the U.S., then the Nook cannot be covered.
I own the Kindle 2. If you ask me to choose again now, I'll still run for the Kindle instead of Nook, because I think the web browsing function is rather meaningful. The free internet (and now it is free international internet) plus the web browser allow me to look for information whenever I'm in entail. It is really a cool feature that cannot be missed. And right now it is free for both the U.S. and many other countries, it is purely incredible when you bring it to trip.
I remember I read this review when I decided to get my Kindle:

Hope it helps :)
i really love the look of the nook (hehe)
The nook have AT&T 3G and wifi, so if you have wifi, you can use it insted. Also, if you are in a barnes and noble store near your nook, your nook knows your there and can get special offer and you can read all e books in the store for free.
hopes this helps you ! (im getting one by the way) Source(s): www.nook.com
Between the Amazon Kindle and Nook, I think which one to budge still depends on your need. Yes, it means you can get books on the Nook somewhere covered by Wi-Fi or 3G network; while the Kindle can only get books when it is covered by 3G net. However, one thing to note is that Nook doesn't come with a trellis browser, so the Wi-Fi network only help you to buy books...
From the certified page of B&N, here is how the Nook compares with the Kindle:

Since Barnes and Noble page is only mentioning the advantage of the Nook over the Kindle, permit me try to tell more about the benefit of the Kindle 2 over the Nook:
- There is no internet browser for the Nook. So even with Wi-Fi, you can merely use it to purchase book. You cannot do searching in Google, Wikipedia, check email, etc., like what you can do near the Kindle.
- The Amazon Kindle has international free 3G wireless which covers over 100 countries. So even if you're in places like the UK or Australia, you can access the internet beside the Kindle free of charge. The Nook has wireless only within the U.S., and is controlled for use of buying books only
- The Kindle is available outside the U.S. (it ships to 176 countries), while the Nook only ship within the U.S. at this moment.
- The Kindle have text-to-speech function, so it can treat an ebook like audio book. This function is not present on the Nook.
- Amazon is already doing some change after the Nook is announced (still more than one month for it to be available). They dropped the price of their International Kindle even further. And they are going to release a PC software which can read their Kindle books.
One more point to be aware is that, at first glance you may think the Nook can read ebooks with color touch eyeshade. But indeed the color touch screen is only a small screen beneath the greyscale eink peak, and seems it is only used to browse the cover of ebooks.
In my opinion, it is a tie between the Kindle and the Barnes and Noble. But if you may travel and you delight in reading during your trip, you should go for the Kindle for sure. Moreover, I trust the Kindle will come up with some strategies very soon, similar to improving their lending book function. The Kindle is the biggest player in the ereader marketplace right now, and I believe it will put enormous effort to hold its position.
I recommend this article as okay, it is the best review on ebook readers I've ever read:

My understanding is that the 3G let you access the internet anywhere not just in a WiFi hotspot. It seems pretty great but I can't settle on if I want one or not.
You can buy book while sitting surrounded by your car, just that there is 3G coverage at that place.
Yes, may be you should consider the Kindle because internet access is so prominent. This is a review from a top reviewer and a book lover, see how she says:
