Is Amazon's Kindle or Barnes and Noble's Nook better?
Which looks better to you?
Answers:
i dream up the nook looks great, but no one knows how well it works explanation you cant even see one besides how-to videos. I dont know why, but from what a lot of people enjoy been saying, they really do not know what they are talking in the region of. It does everything the kindle does (besides reads to you, but that function is flawed to me), and right now, all your going to obtain answers from are kindle owners, so there is really no one to find what you really want. Do what im doing and wait till nov. 30
hope this help! :) Source(s): www.nook.com
I have a Kindle and I can tell you that some of the perks are that you can writ books and have them delivered all on your kindle, versus lots other ebooks that require you to download onto a computer first. Also the books...are wayyy cheaper than on the Barnes and Noble ebook. Amazon also offers many abundant free books so even if you are unable to purchase books as often as you like to, you can investigate for free books and I have found most of the books to be excellent reads. I purchased my kindle for 299 and the price have recently gone down to 259. I contacted amazon and they even refunded the difference back onto my credit card! The entry with me is that I have had 0 issues next to amazon.com and I order from their website constantly. The product is extremely light and the covers they offer are cute, sturdy, and it give you the feel of reading a actual book.
Obviously my choice is for the Kindle. My suggestion is to read up about it and see what fits you. :) Good luck and happy hunting. Source(s): I own a Kindle

I own the Kindle 2. If you ask me to choose again now, I'll still go for the Kindle instead of Nook, because I think the pattern browsing function is rather important. The free internet (and now it is free international internet) plus the pattern browser allow me to look for information whenever I'm in need. It is really a cool feature that cannot be missed.
I remember I read this review when I arranged to get my Kindle:

Yes, the Kindle because internet access is so important. This is a review from a top reviewer and a book lover, see how she say:

well the nook is better here's a correlation of the comparison of the nook and kindle. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nook/compa…
it will have 500,000 free book on day of launch as well.
but yea the EBooks themselves will be just about $1-$2 dollars more for barnes and noble then amazon.

Since Barnes and Noble page is only mentioning the plus of the Nook over the Kindle, let me try to tell more about the benefit of the Kindle 2 over the Nook:
- There is no internet browser for the Nook. So even near Wi-Fi, you can only use it to purchase book. You cannot do searching in Google, Wikipedia, check email, etc., close to what you can do with the Kindle.
- The Amazon Kindle has international free 3G wireless which covers over 100 countries. So even if you're in places resembling the UK or Australia, you can access the internet with the Kindle free of charge. The Nook has wireless only inwardly the U.S., and is limited for use of buying books only
- The Kindle is available outside the U.S. (it ships to 176 countries), while the Nook only ship inside the U.S. at this moment.
- The Kindle has text-to-speech function, so it can treat an ebook like audio book. This function is not present on the Nook.
- Amazon is already doing some conversion after the Nook is announced (still more than one month for it to be available). They dropped the price of their International Kindle even further. And they are going to release a PC software which can read their Kindle books.
One more thing to be aware is that, at first glance you may think the Nook can read ebooks near color touch screen. But indeed the color touch screen is only a small eyeshade beneath the greyscale eink screen, and seems it is only used to browse the cover of ebooks.
In my evaluation, it is a tie between the Kindle and the Barnes and Noble. But if you may travel and you enjoy reading during your trip, you should go for the Kindle for sure. Moreover, I trust the Kindle will come up with some strategies completely soon, like improving their lending book function. The Kindle is the biggest player contained by the ereader market right now, and I believe it will put enormous energy to hold its position.

I've read that it depends on how much you spend: 25,000 to get Nook 'n Go; 90,000 to get Nookway; and 240,000 to get Nookington's. Having said that, I know for a reality that can't be true because I got Nook...
