Barnes and noble's nook?
i have a few questions about barnes and noble's contemporary ebook thing called the nook.
first question..is it out even so? if not when will it be?
second question...it says on the website it uses AT&T's 3G framework so you can browse for books, and it says "on us" so it's free. but i don't have AT&T, (i have verizon) so would it still be free?
interview three... can i type documents on it?
question four... does it have a stylus? if not can i use a stylus? or is it approaching the iphone where you cant?
question five... is it durable? will it break or scratch glibly?
question six... how do you buy the ebooks? do you need a credit card? (i dont have a credit card, i'm with the sole purpose 16) or are there like gift cards or reloadable transfer of funds cards?
question seven... it says you can buy a 16 gb micro sd card to expand the memory..do i have to buy one that big? will a smaller one work too?
Answers:
1.Yes, the nook is out. It is at your local Barnes and Noble store.
2. Well they didn't articulate AT&T 3G Network they said that, the nook has a 3G network which means it is go twice as fast, and plus what does cell phone brands has to do with nook?! They did mention that it is free.
3. You can't type documents you can write like notes. So it can't be like really long similar to a novel it has to be like a essay message. That's how long it should be.
4. It is touch Screen, so apparently they should have a stylus that comes with the nook. Or you would have to buy your own stylus.
5. The nook is in recent times like a regular touch screen phone. It could get stratched up if you don't embezzle care of it like you should or don't tap frozen on the surface screen.
6. You download the ebook online and it is free. No you don't need a credit card. and no there are no endowment cards or reloadable.
7. Well it depends on how much books your downloading on your nook, if you download too many then you would have to buy a memory card. You would own to buy a 16gb so you can have more room. The size of that HAS to fit inside of the nook.
1. Release date is "Late November"
2. The network usage will be built into the price of the books, so you don't stipulation any AT&T account.
3. I don't believe so, but I could be wrong.
4. Not from the pictures I've seen, no.
5. Any screen can be scratched. Get a suitcase with it and take care of it.
6. I believe it's via their online bookstore. I don't know if you will requirement a credit card or not. You should ask Barnes & Nobel that before purchase.
7. Yes, you can use a smaller card. You likely won't need one for some time though.
If I didn't already enjoy a reader and if I lived in the US, I'd seriously consider buying a Nook. Source(s): http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nook/?cds2…
